I know I already posted here, but let me point out that for every American fan posting here, there are hundreds more who also want Ryan Drummond to voice Sonic again. Some lack the patience or diligence to speak out on Sonic's behalf, and others have long since lost hope in restoring the franchise. So, Sonic Team, if you would please let English speaking fans have the voice actor that we have chosen, you will make thousands of Sonic fans very happy. Thank you for listening.

There are actually THOUSANDS more who want Ryan back. This is evident alone by how many people signed the online petition (and believe me, there are definitely much more who want Ryan back than just those who signed it) There's MUCH more than just a few hundred Ryan fans - there are literally THOUSANDS who are yearning for his return.

Right, I said thousands, there at the end. I meant that for each one of the hundreds of us actively trying to get Ryan back, there are hundreds more who also await his return. Therefore, thousands of us want Ryan back. Sorry for the confusion.

Dear SONIC TEAM,

I've been a fan of Sonic the Hedgehog for a long time now. Of all the voices Sonic had over the years, the ones that really suited his attitude and voice we would picture in him, were Jaleel White's and Ryan Drummond's voices. Jaleel White voiced Sonic in the old DiC cartoon shows.

I love how Sonic sounded with Ryan Drummond's voice. He suited him. Ryan could give Sonic the right voice tone in the right situation. He's not perfect, but he didn't have the same problems Jason deals with.
Jason Griffith seems to have some trouble voicing Sonic. When he wants to sound energetic, he sounds like he's a teenager entering puberty. When he tries to solve that, he ends up sounding unemotional. When he gets the tone or emotion right, he sounds too deep for Sonic. In my opinion he did well in Sonic and the Secret Rings, but still, not as good as Ryan. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, he also did well. Except for the "Too easy! Piece of cake!" line. Ryan said that in Sonic Adventure 2, and someone told Jason to say it too. But he sounded horrible. It's clearly something he can't pull out: sound more like Sonic. Lots of people say that the way Jason makes Sonic sound is the directors' fault. To me, that's another reason why he shouldn't voice Sonic. He has bad directors, while Ryan didn't have those, and voiced Sonic just fine.

Jason Griffith is OK, but not good enough. In several games, I've seen him sound either well or plain horribly. He hasn't been capable of sounding energetic and cool, without making us wish he could have made a better job with them. Ryan has his share of bad lines, but they've dropped down in Heroes. He has shown more signs of improving in 4 games than Jason in lots.

Please hire back Ryan Drummond. We, the fans, think he's the right voice for Sonic. Jason doesn't give Sonic the same energy we fans grew up hearing.

The image of a character is something you need to look out for. A character's voice is part of his/her image. Sonic's image is being threatened because of Jason's voice. It's not all Jason's voice's fault, it's also because of the poor stories. But going that way, I can only tell you to find better writers, or tell yours to find inspiraton elsewhere. About Sonic's personality, Jason's voice makes him look bad, and it's too late to change his image, the image the older fans have for such an iconic character. We all know what Sonic means to us, how we feel when we look at him, or play one of his games. Jason Griffith can't do this job as well as the previous actors. Sometimes he sounds really well, there are some lines that I enjoy. But the list of lines I don't like is much larger. I've heard enough to know Ryan Drummond is better fit for the job. His enthusiasm became part of Sonic's character, it made him sound like the hedgehog we grew up with. Ryan is probably not as good as Jaleel White, but as time flew by, Ryan became the new Jaleel. And Jaleel suits better the short MegaDrive Sonic, while Ryan suits the taller and green-eyes Sonic that first appeared in Sonic Adventure.

So we all ask you to hire Ryan back.
It'll mean a lot to us if you hire him for Sonic Chronicles and Unleashed. If you don't, make sure these are the last games Jason voices Sonic. But if you fire him, give him notice. You fired the old voice actors without notice, and that wasn't right. Some people see that as business. Well, firing someone because of any kind of need is normal, it's business. Not giving notice is disrespectful, and that's probably the reason why so many people want you to give the old voices their job back. Because of the way you fired them, because of the poor reasons that made you do that, because they were right for the characters, and because, since you acted wrong, we want to see you fixing that mistake, so that we can give you another chance. We, the fans need to see you acting like real people, so that we're less hesitating on buying one of your products. Believe it or not, people are sensitive to that.

Some people hate you, some of them, for the wrong reasons. Some people are angry, and there are people who were angry before, but not anymore, like me. Now I'm hoping you fix your mistakes. Sonic Unleashed shows me that you're fixing lots of them. I say, keep up the good work, get better voices than the current ones, and keep using the Hedgehog Engine in future games. But the way you're dealing with Sonic's image is still a mistake that needs to be fixed as quickly as possible. Sonic's and most of the characters' images, for that matter.

P.S. By the way, about the 4Kids voices, they came after the old voices, which had given us a certain image of the characters. After the 4Kids voices came, the characters didn't give us the same feeling. It's either because of the dialogs, that make them say weird things (it happened in Sonic Heroes too, though), or because of their voices, that sound a lot differently. I understand if it's better if you hire a woman to make a young boy's voice, like what's happening with Tails. But Amy Palant makes him sound too much like a girl, and she doesn't give him the young boy charm he had when he was voiced by actual boys. You need to hire a better woman for the job, or go back to the young boys. I hate to say this, but Amy Palant is totally wrong for Tails. Dan Green makes Knuckles sound too dumb. Jason Griffith makes Shadow sound like he's whispering and always serious. Shadow is serious, that's how he is, but not the boring type of serious. David Humphrey made him sound cool, energetic, not boring at all, and serious. Mike Pollock is probably the best voice actor in the recent games. He makes Eggman sound propperly. I have nothing against Pete Capella's voice, which suits Silver's personality. Bella Hudson makes a good job voicing Blaze. About the other characters she voices, the ones that will appear in future games should get a different voice. I think at least Mike Pollock, Pete Capella and Bella Hudson should continue voicing the mentioned characters. All the rest should be replaced.

If you'll hire Ryan Drummond back, try and call whoever voiced each character in Sonic Heroes. I'm convinced most of them will take the job back.
