確かに... of で何でもつなごうとするとくどくなりますね。
かわりに関係代名詞などをうまく使えるようになるとすっきりするのでしょうか。
すぐには例が浮かびませんが...

How do you think of "of"?
For examples, in Japanese,
"そのこと" is not usually cut.
But in English, "of it", "of the matter", "of the report",ETC seem to be cut or said in another words.
After all sentenses written by Japanese are not clear, I think.
日本人が使う英語が、時々とてもわかりづらい、シンプルでない、くだくだしい、ということを考えたとき、OF　の使い方が深く関係しているように思います。
みなさん、ふだんどうお考えですか？？

その表現は間違っていません。でもWordの言い分（？）もわかります。

on the top ten listについて

一番売れているもの（ここでは本）を10点並べてリストにしたのが
"the top ten list"ですね。

そこでは、載っているものは複数あってもリストはひとつなので
単数形でOKです。

WORDの校正機能は on the top ten list のうち
ten list　の部分だけをチェックしてしまっているようです。
確かに、リストそのものが10あれば複数形になりますよね。

ララさん、この説明でいかがでしょうか？
TOEICはもうすぐ受験される予定ですか？

（この本はすごくヒットするでしょう）

私が読んでいるＴＯＥＩＣの本に次のような英文がありました。
質問というのは on the top ten list.の部分です。
パソコンのＷＯＲＤでこの英文を入力していたら、ｌｉｓｔ　に緑色の波線がでました。文章校正によるとｔｅｎという１以上の数字を使って語を修飾するときはｌｉｓｔ→ｌｉｓｔｓにつまり複数形にならないといけないと説明されました。
もし、訂正しなければならないとしたら、本の方が誤植なのでしょうか？

The woman said, "Get down" to protect themselves or
to hide from someone.

But the man -- I think this man always says something funny--
made it a joke by saying , "(get down) and boogie!"

As you might know, "boogie" is a kind of dance.
"Get down and boogie" sometimes appears in song liyics.

In this situation, they are in danger... tense...

（緊張感のある状態で、「踊ろうぜ」という冗談にしてしまう
言動がツボ（？）だと思いますが...）
